Porcelain dental veneers are thin shells of porcelain bonded to the front of the tooth. They recreate the function and appearance of tooth enamel, with properties equivalent to those of enamel and, in some cases, even superior.
It is a bioaesthetic and biomimetic treatment that goes unnoticed by others. Thanks to the bonding system used, the veneers do not come off, and they do not cause secondary decay.
It is usually used for patients who want to make small changes to their smile in terms of size, position (crowded teeth or diastemas, that is, gaps between teeth), color or the overall appearance of their teeth.
For smile design, we have found a key ally in porcelain veneers, as they are an efficient, minimally invasive treatment for discovering the perfect canon for your smile. In some cases (such as the Veneer Esthetic Plus® treatment we use, explained below), we only minimally touch the tooth structure, which makes it a reversible treatment.
The more personalized and the higher the quality of the materials used in dental veneers, the better they will look, to the point of being completely “indistinguishable” from the rest of the teeth.
Aesthetic porcelain veneers allow for precise personalization, especially when the latest digital dentistry protocols are used, as is the case with the Digital Dentofacial Aesthetic Analysis® that we have developed and patented at Clínica Dental Fernando Soria.
Porcelain behaves as a perfectly biocompatible material, both with the gum tissue and with any other tissue in the mouth.
The highly personalized treatment we provide at our clinic, together with the high quality and technology of the veneers we use, allows us to achieve a resistance identical to that of enamel, and even greater when it comes to the stains caused by food and various everyday habits.
Treatment with porcelain veneers is much less “intrusive” than treatment with crowns, and in some cases not intrusive at all (depending on the patient’s needs), because little or no work needs to be done on the tooth.
Aesthetic porcelain veneers do not require anesthesia, since the treatment only polishes the tooth enamel, without grinding it down.
Aesthetic porcelain veneers do not require anesthesia, since the treatment only polishes the tooth enamel, without grinding it down.
Placing porcelain veneers is very simple and quick, and the treatment can be reversible, since we do not touch the tooth structure. With them, we live up to our motto: “you come in with a smile and you leave with a smile.”
Time does not affect porcelain veneers as far as color changes are concerned, unlike composite veneers, especially low-quality ones.
The high efficiency and effectiveness of aesthetic porcelain veneer treatment keep the veneers from coming off, giving the patient maximum comfort, security and confidence.
There are no limitations on treatment with porcelain veneers, because they meet the needs of any patient seeking advanced dental aesthetics.

The porcelain dental veneer treatment I offer you at Clínica Dental Fernando Soria in Madrid is part of our efforts to design and restore the canon of the perfect 10 smile in your mouth.
To do so, we rely on Veneer Esthetic Plus® porcelain veneers (more information) and the most sophisticated digital smile design tools, most notably the protocol we have developed and patented ourselves: the Digital Dentofacial Aesthetic Analysis®, a highly predictable and therefore highly efficient diagnostic model.
Veneer Esthetic Plus® veneers are a premium aesthetic dental treatment that uses high-quality porcelain veneers custom-made for each patient. The treatment has no side effects and can be reversible.
This system does not use preformed veneers made of ceramic. Instead, its veneers are made individually, based on the Digital Dentofacial Aesthetic Analysis® of your oral structure, to restore the canon of a perfect 10 smile to your mouth, permanently improving the shape, color, size and three-dimensional alignment of your teeth.
These veneers are made by the prestigious Instituto Oral Design, following artistic, handcrafted criteria that tailor your treatment to your particular needs and to those arising from the shape and nature of your face.
A painless treatment, fast and individualized, which consists of polishing the enamel, without grinding it down, to achieve a perfect bond between the tooth and the new extra-thin porcelain veneers. These are handcrafted by Oral Design uniquely for each patient, according to your needs and to suit your face, using CAD-CAM digital impression technology.
Veneer Esthetic Plus® is a custom-made treatment of unsurpassed quality, with a 15-year warranty. All of this sets these veneers well apart from standard, preformed veneers, mass-produced in a single-color monoblock, whose low price always comes with a total lack of naturalness.
In just three sessions you can recover a whiter, brighter and younger smile.

The price range of porcelain veneers varies, depending largely on each patient’s own oral needs and on the type and brand of veneers chosen, which make the treatment more or less complex and, therefore, more or less expensive.
How much do porcelain veneers cost? No one can reliably answer this question without seeing you at a consultation and gathering essential information about your oral health.
That’s why we offer you a free check-up visit to tell you the price of the porcelain veneers that will help you show off a Perfect 10 Smile.
First, we perform the Digital Dentofacial Aesthetic Analysis® to understand your wishes and goals as a patient. Next, the tooth is prepared.
Then an impression of your teeth is taken and sent to the dental laboratory, where your individualized, personalized porcelain veneers are made.
At the third appointment, we do a try-in to check color, shape and size and, in the same session or the next one, our specialist bonds the veneers to your teeth with a special chemical bonding material.
In general, the treatment is reversible, since the tooth structure remains in place. Tooth preparation is becoming increasingly minimal, so we preserve the natural teeth beneath the veneers.
Porcelain veneers do not stain from things like coffee, tobacco or wine. However, it is important to keep up good oral hygiene and good habits: brushing and cleaning with dental floss or a Waterpik.
Once you have selected the desired veneer color, it will stay that way forever.
This is very unlikely to happen. It could occur at the lateral margins, and in that case the cavity would be treated from the back of the tooth, without affecting the porcelain veneer.
There is no reason why patients who suffer from bruxism cannot have porcelain veneer treatment, but what we recommend, after more than 10 years of experience, is that, if you have bruxism, you wear an occlusal splint (night guard) regularly to avoid wearing down the porcelain prematurely.
